Anglesey Adventures takes your personal safety seriously
We always place great emphasis on safety throughout our activities by employing the most experienced and professional instructors and by using only the highest quality equipment that is inspected weekly. However, the activities that we teach are hazardous by their nature and you must accept a certain element of risk with your chosen course. Parents and guardians must also recognize that there will always be a degree of risk before signing our Acknowledgement of Risk form for their children.
To ensure everyone’s safety as far as possible, we reserve the right to transfer participants to other activities if we believe they are likely to put themselves or others at unacceptable risk. It is very important that you choose the right course to suit your experience, abilities and physical fitness.
The course descriptions give details of previous experience and level of fitness required. If you have any doubts about your suitability for a course, please don’t hesitate to phone us. Also, if you have any health condition that you think may be relevant, please let us know in confidence, either by letter or on the booking form. The courses we run in Wales and abroad are often exhilarating. They can also be technically, physically and mentally demanding, but always, we hope, rewarding.
We always aim to provide the highest quality of instruction and equipment, in order that your visit will be memorable for all the right reasons. However, if you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please raise the matter as soon as possible with your course instructor. We will do our best to resolve any problem very quickly. Should a complaint remain unresolved, then you should contact the Company Director in Holyhead. We are continually striving to improve the service we offer to our customers and always value comments and suggestions. A visitor questionnaire and comment cards are available and we would appreciate your feedback.
Anglesey Adventures is inspected by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) and a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI)
All activities are risk assessed in writing and risk management practices are put in place to manage them. Your health and safety is our prime consideration and drives everything we do.
Where established National Governing Body qualifications exist your lead instructor on each session will hold the appropriate qualification. Mountain Biking is an exception as few instructors hold a qualification, so here we insist instructors have another adventure group leadership qualification, are experience mountain bikers and work to our risk assessment (this is agreed with our insurers). Archery is also led on a risk assessment basis, with some staff externall trained and some trained in house.
We carry Employers Liability (£10,000,000), Public and Products Liability (£5,000,000) and Errors and Omissions Liability (£100,000) Insurance with Jardine Lloyd Thomson Certificate Number CGLB06J000?1014 (01452 511400).
